To Participate

If you want to send pics of your colored drawings to be a part of this blog, I will gladly welcome you to do so. Please contact me through my website here so I can make them their own post. Note: All drawings must be kid-friendly to appear here.

Carriage Factory Art Garden Party July 20, 2023

Please join me at the Carriage Factory Art Garden Party Thursday July 20, 2023 from 6 - 9 PM to participate in this project by coloring your own Toxic Positivity drawing.  I will also be drawing in response to prompts as follows:

This evening I am a human art generator interface.  Please offer me a prompt and I will create a one-of-a-kind drawing for you to color.

Note: Indecent and copyrighted content is strictly prohibited and will not be generated by the human art generator interface.

This is a combination of my two recent projects, as follows:

Will the Real Jennifer Weigel Please Stand Up?

https://therealjenniferweigel.blogspot.com/

Conceptual artist Jennifer Weigel embarks on an AI art journey with NightCafe, prompting the AI interface to generate art based on a weird alternate history involving herself in various hypothetical situations in a sort of flash-flash fiction sense, as well as Mother Goose nursery rhymes and old poetry in the public domain.

Toxic Positivity

Cute, funky & somewhat snarky original OOAK drawings to color yourself; photo paper responds to markers (even cheap ones)

You are welcome to help yourself to an existing drawing to color if you do not wish to prompt one.  I invite you to join me and to use my markers to color here if you like; just please do not take the markers so that others may color too, both now and later.

Be yourself.  Everyone else is already taken.

Next Show / Call for Participation

Some of my drawings will be on display at Norm's Coffee Bar in Newton, so this will be the next call out for color-your-own Toxic Positivity drawing project.  $5 from each drawing sold will also still go towards the Trevor Project.  I'll post updates here.

If you found this blog through the Norm's show, feel free to check out the info tab to learn more about the project.

Art House 310 Raised $85 for The Trevor Project!

My show at Art House 310 in Wichita KS raised $85 towards the Trevor Project over the course of March 2023!  Each drawing sold raised $5 and additional monies were donated.  Thank you to everyone for supporting my art as well as this important cause!

First Friday Fun - Thank You and Another Tip

I want to extend a hearty thank you to everyone who came to Art House 310 for First Friday and is excited to participate in this project.  If you email me your finished colored drawings I will post them here in the order received, just reach out to me through my website contact page (you can find it in the link on the sidebar).

Also, I have another tip for coloring - any markers will work on the photo paper but be sure to let them sit and dry a little while before handling them so you don't fingerprint them (unless that's what you were after).  It's just like if you printed them as photos at home with your inkjet printer.  They don't take long to dry.

Project Kickoff

So here's Toxic Positivity: the next big coloring art project from Jennifer Weigel, this time building upon her own drawings.  The project will kick off as part of her Life Is Brilliant show alongside Mary Lee MacDonald at Art House 310 in Wichita in March so please drop by and get a drawing to color.  Finished art can be posted here to this blog if desired.
